Lancashire FA currently provides a range of Coach Education courses including the prestigious Level 1, 2 and 3 Certificate In Coaching Football Awards.

Level 1 Certificate In Coaching Football
31 hours (2 full days + 2 evenings + distance learning) - Candidates applying for Level 1 courses must be at least 16 years of age and have left secondary education.

Level 2 Certificate In Coaching Football
90+ hours (spread over a number of days or weekends) - the cost of the courses will be £250.00, plus a £50.00 deposit which will be refunded on completion of the course.

Level 3 Certificate In Coaching Football
120+ hours (spread over a number of days or weekends) - the cost of the courses will be £300.00, £50.00 of which will be refunded on completion of the course.

Do you want to Get Qualified?

If you’re over 16, working/volunteering in sport or outdoor pursuits in Cumbria or Lancashire, you may qualify for up to £250 towards fees for coaching qualifications. Maximum of 12 applications from any one Club.
You will be required to deliver a minimum of 15 hours’ volunteering in return for this support. Full details are available at

FA GOALKEEPING COACHING AWARD - LEVEL 1
27 hour course - run over 3 sessions (3 full days)

F.A. AGE APPROPRIATE COACHING - INTRODUCTORY MODULE
One day course - This is a new FA course to assist coaches, teachers, or support assistants working with 5-11 year old players, who want to improve their knowledge and understanding of the 'what' and 'how' to coach players of this age. For Qualified Teachers or Coaches (minimum Level 1).

F.A. YOUTH AWARD - MODULE 1 
Four day course - This is also a new FA course aimed at those working with 5-11 year old players, who want to further their knowledge and understanding. The course encompasses a variety of theoretical and practical tasks around the learning processes involved when coaching this age range.

Introduction to Futsal
One day Course - This course will give candidates an understanding of the fundamentals of Futsal covering both the techniques and the basic principles, highlighting the differences between 5 a-side and Futsal. The course also covers the Laws of the Game for Futsal; any candidates could then deliver Futsal within their club, school or community environment with a greater understanding of the game

Coaching Disabled Footballers Course 
One day course - to apply and extend your existing coaching skills and experience, meet the needs of players with a range of impairments.

One day course (9.00am to 4.00pm) for any PE teachers / FE full time staff members.

CANCELLATION POLICY

If you need to cancel your attendance on the course you should inform Lancashire FA immediately. All our courses are in demand and by not advising us you are preventing another candidate from attending. If you cancel more than 2 weeks prior to the commencement of the course, a full refund will be issued. However, if you cancel after the 2 week deadline, no refund will be given. If you should decide to transfer to another course once your place has been confirmed in writing, there will be an additional administration charge of £20.00.
