BRYSON AND MCNAMARA CLOCK UP 80 YEARS!
LEP Stalwarts Jim Bryson and Eamon McNamara were both presented with their LFA 40 Year long service awards on Tuesday 30th September during the half-time interval at Preston North End's home game against Swansea.  LFA Referees Development Officer Dean Mohareb described both gentlemen as "remarkable",

"The Lancashire Evening Post Sunday League is regarded as one of the best Leagues in the Country, much of its success is due to the dedication and commitment of both Eamon and Jim.  They are remarkable men who have gone well beyond what is expected to help local football continue and thrive".

SUPPLY LEAGUE ASSESSORS WANTED
The Referees Department is currently putting together a panel of assessors to operate on the Supply Leagues for Season 2008/09. With teams featuring from other counties such as West Riding, Cheshire, Liverpool and Manchester as well as a vast number of midweek games in the pipeline a number of new recruits are needed. Enquiries are welcome from officials regardless of which County they reside or officiate in. Experience of assessing is essential and experience of operating in a Supply League in the past as an official is desirable but not compulsory. Any National List or Contributory League Assessors who could help out would be most welcome. Enquiries should be directed to the Referees Development Officer Dean Mohareb.
