The Football Association has announced that as from 01 January 2010 all existing instructors will become FA Licensed Tutors. Each person will be graded according to the following competencies:
Level 1
Responsible for the delivery of the Basic Course Training for new referees
Maintaining status for CPD involves:
- Delivering a minimum of 6 hours per year
- Successful Quality Assurance Appraisal every 3 years
- Attendance at Instructor Development Training
Level 2
Responsible for the delivery of the In-Service Training for new referees
Maintaining status for CPD involves:
- Delivering a minimum of 3 hours IST training per year
- Successful Quality Assurance Appraisal every 3 years
- Attendance at Instructor Development Training
Levels 3 and 4
Invited by The Football Association – Quality Control and Staff for FA National and International courses.
BECOME A LEVEL 1 TUTOR
If you have a credible refereeing background and you have a desire to contribute to the training of referees you can apply to become a Level 1 Tutor. Courses are normally held annually and the next course will be in 2011.
