
A Board of Appeal is an opportunity to Appeal against a decision made by the League/ Competition Committee
Can I Appeal against a League/ Competition management decision?
Yes, but it must be one of the following or another valid reason
- Failed to give the appellant a fair hearing
- Failed to comply with the disciplinary procedures relevant to the hearing of the charge
- Came to a decision on the facts of the case which no reasonable body could have reached
- Imposed a punishment, without reasons, not conforming with the schedule guide to recommended punishment
- Imposed an award, order or any sanction that is excessive
How do I do this? You need to complete the form and return to the Competition/ League affiliated County Association. (See related articles bottom left hand corner)
How long have I got?
14 days from the decision letter from the League.
What happens with the League decision, pending my Appeal?
This will not automatically be set aside pending the Appeal, an application must be made to the County F.A and until you receive confirmation back of the decision, it will not be accepted.
How long will it take for the Appeal?
Lancashire County F.A try to ensure that Board of Appeals are completed within 4– 6 weeks upon acceptance of an Appeal. However this could vary due room availability and other circumstances. But in all cases we endeavour to give both parties reasonable notice of Appeals.
How much does it cost?
A cheque must be sent with the form for the sum of £35.
Can I send cash?
No, we need a cheque, payable to The Lancashire Football Association
Where do I send it to?
To the County Association in which the League or competition are first registered with.
Will I get my money back?
If you Appeal is upheld the cheque will be retuned.
What happens if I lose?
If your Appeal is dismissed you will forfeit the Appeal fee and also may be liable to costs of the Appeal Board.
