Clubs- How can you get involved and what support is available:
If you’re a club which runs girls’ teams, The FA Tesco Girls’ Football Week is the ideal time for you to recruit new players.
So wherever you are in the county, why not hold an Open Day as part of your normal training session, run a local primary schools festival, have a Mum’s and Daughters event or even hold a female volunteers recruitment evening in the week commencing Monday 22 June
To help you publicise it – and for some general tips on recruiting new players – click on the 'Club Marketing' link to the right of the page to download free resources such as posters, flyers, certificates and recruiting tips (ensure that you insert your own club information on the materials so that interest people know who to contact).
There is also an opportunity for your club to put your event or details or training details on this webpage by filling in the 'Event Details' form and sending it to development@lancashirefa.com

Regional Events:
There are nine free 'Girls Football Week' regional events to attend. Lancashire FA are proud to be hosting one of these events in conjunction with Accrington Girls and Ladies FC on the evening of Tuesday 23rd June for all ages (Five to Open Age) and abilities. Tesco FA Skills Coaches programme:
Lancashire FA is proud to have the support of the FA Skills Coaches for “Girls Football Week”. They will be involved in various events throughout the County but there are plenty of opportunities for Girls and Clubs to get involved in the FA Skills programme.
The FA Tesco Skills Programme aims to get children aged 5-11 active whilst developing the future of football in England. It is co-ordinated by The FA and funded by Tesco and Sport England.
A total of ninety full-time, specialist Skills Coaches are working with youngsters throughout the country right now. All are trained to be experts in youth football and children’s learning needs.
Lancashire’s Skills Team also consists of 3 female coaches including Team Leader Clare Daniels, Jennie Cummins and Fara Williams. There is also support for Primary schools through the FA Skills Team.
Tesco supports The FA’s drive to develop women’s and girls’ football in many different ways.
Lancashire FA have received Tesco funding to support coaching, improve facilities and help women’s and girls’ teams flourish.
The FA Tesco Skills Programme is a revolutionary youth coaching programme for 5-11 year old girls and boys. So far over 250,000 girls have taken part.
Girls’ Football Week is the latest example of Tesco’s ongoing support and we are grateful for their support moving forward.

The Tesco Women and Girls Football Week is a national project to continue the growth of Girls football both in Lancashire and across the country, but as we know recruitment of players and accessing funding is an ongoing process.
