The Association's Safeguarding Department is able to provide a range of local and convenient workshops.

These informative, interactive and enjoyable workshops aim to further develop the volunteer football workforce.

All workshops are free of charge and delivered locally at a suitable venue.

This pioneering workshop is the only one of its kind in the UK and was created by our own Safeguarding department.

Sessions are interactive, humorous and delivered enthusiastically.

These workshops are in demand and delivered weekly, and we receive plenty of positive feedback.

  • Challenges parents and/or coaches to look at our role in youth football
  • Looks at why children play and adults as role models
  • Examines inclusion, how children learn, and improving the matchday environment
  • Carries two hours CPD for coaches
  • Minimum 12 attendees with no upper limit
  • Duration around 75-90 minutes

  • Covers the Primary Survey, which includes learning the recovery position, the basics of CPR, and how to use an AED, and is endorsed by the North West Ambulance Service and CardiacSmart
  • Taught by our Designated Safeguarding Officer Chris Doherty, a fully-qualified first aid instructor and community first responder
  • Open to coaches, parents and players aged 11+
  • Cater for complete beginners, as well as those who have previously taken similar courses and require a refresher lesson
  • Duration around two hours

  • Delivered to young people, parents/volunteers or both
  • Examines online behaviours, and responsible, safe usage
  • Minimum 12 attendees with no upper limit
