Football and Lancashire have a long and proud history together so, as you would expect from a County that is so passionate about the game, Football Clubs exist through every level of the Football Pyramid in Lancashire including Premier League Clubs, Everton, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Football League Clubs Accrington Stanley, Blackburn Rovers, Blackpool, Bolton Wanderers, Burnley, Bury, Fleetwood Town, Morecambe, Oldham Athletic, Preston North End, Rochdale and Wigan Athletic.

From mini-soccer clubs that provide a platform that supports the development and enjoyment of our very youngest players, to the adult game which spans across small-sided football, amateur, semi pro and of course the professional game. Grassroots football in Lancashire thrives and depends on individuals who are dedicated & committed to help running them and which are the heartbeat of the grassroots game.  

There are currently over 1000 member clubs that facilitate over 4600 teams which make up the membership of Lancashire FA, each of whom are involved in regular league football. In addition, there are also hundreds of other teams registered at several FA affiliated small sided football centres across the County.
