LFA College Rec League

The Lancashire FA College Recreational League has been developed to give students aged 16-19 an opportunity to play a flexible format of 11-a-side football.

The league has been developed for players that have not been chosen to represent their College. The league sits at category 5 in the Further Education football pyramid system. In the inaugural season 2014-15; 14 Colleges entered the league. The group stages took place at 4 venues across Lancashire through April, May and June 2015, with the finals day held at Lancashire FA on the 27th June 2015.

With the continued post 16 drop off rate of footballers transitioning from youth to adult football; Lancashire FA has introduced this league to provide young players with an opportunity to get back into competitive 11-a-side football between the ages of 16 and 19. This offer sits alongside the County FA supporting Colleges through regular recreational ‘Just Play’ sessions and TEAM 19 small sided intra mural football.
