There are thousands of people across Lancashire who would still love to play football regularly but don’t because they think they’re too old.
If you’re one of them it’s time to think again!
Lancashire FA has numerous exciting veterans’ football opportunities, with basic rules and regulations to suit the ‘older player’.
Although the word veteran may bring to mind images of baggy shorts, brown leather lace up footballs and Brylcreem hairstyles, it in fact refers to anyone over the tender age of 40. So even Manchester United star Ryan Giggs, would technically qualify!
We know that there are lots of people out there in their 40’s, 50’s and even 60’s playing and enjoying football. Lancashire FA’s veteran’s initiative aims to target those who no longer play football and also those who still occasionally get together for a friendly kickabout.
Over the years we’ve had tremendous success organising and supporting leagues for young people, adults, women and girls and the disabled. Now Lancashire FA wants to turn its attention to an age group that in the past has been left out of the loop.
• FREE to register*
• The games will be played on FA approved state of the art 3G football turf pitch
