SSE Wildcats Girls' Clubs

Find your nearest club

There are currently 10 SSE Wildcats Girls' Football Clubs up and running across Lancashire.

These clubs have been set up to provide girls aged five to 11 across the county with increased opportunities to play football and take part in organised sessions in a fun, engaging and safe environment, as part of a new nationwide participation programme.

The project is an integral part of The FA’s objective to double girls’ football participation by 2020 and has been established in a joint partnership between The FA and SSE, supporters of girls’ football participation and sponsor of the SSE Women’s FA Cup.

Michael Nadal, our Women & Girls Football Development Officer, said: "The SSE Wildcats Girls' Football Clubs project will be a key focus for Lancashire FA over the next three years.

"The clubs will aim to bring the love of football to hundreds of young girls who have never experienced the game, and they look set to have a huge impact on the future of girls football across the county.

"I would urge any parent of a young girl aged five 11 to go along to their local Wildcats Football Club and inspire them to develop a love for exercise and physical activity."
