LFA Supports FA Action Plan


On Wednesday 5th September, Lancashire FA announced its commitment in supporting The FA’s Action Plan for Inclusion of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans (LGB&T) people in Sport by signing the Government’s Charter for Action.

The Charter is comprised of four principles and aims to make sport a welcoming environment for the LGB&T people and to help stamp out homophobia and Transphobia in sport.

By signing the Charter, Lancashire FA joins The FA, Premier League, Football League, LMA, PFA the 92 professional clubs and The FA Council in pledging its support of ‘Football for Everyone’.

Governing Bodies of Sport, such as the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA), the England and Wales Cricket Board (EBC) the rugby Football League (RFL) the Rugby Football Union (RFU) and the London Organisation Committee of the Olympic and Paralympics Games (LOCOG) have also agreed to the four principles of the Charter.

 Football seeks to lead the way in its inclusivity practises and attracting Participants from all parts of the community. To get involved in football in the County as a player, coach, referee, administrator etc.
