Girls United Mini Soccer Programme

Lancashire FA launch 'Girls United' Programme to Clubs

Lancashire FA launches it’s 'Girls United' Mini Soccer programme on Tuesday 15th July, 5.30pm-7pm at Lancashire FA with the help of a England Ladies star.

The programme is aimed at Girls aged 6-9 years of age who are new to the sport who are either with Lancashire FA club development squads or who want to too get involved in a local club.

The launch will see the girls involved in a skills/small sided games based festival led by female coaches at the County Ground on the 3g surface at Lancashire FA and any girl, club, school and organisation can come along and take part no matter what number of players they have available.

The programme will launch a full season’s worth of Girls United events through 2014/15 which will help local Charter Standard clubs to either start or grow their Girls Mini Soccer squads over a longer period of time rather than trying to develop a new team in a short timescale. More details on the programme will be available on the evening for club coaches or parents while the players are enjoying the event.

You can download the poster below which can be used to advertise the launch and separate registration forms for individual players (not attending in a group) and a group registration form for those attending as a larger group. There is no cost for players to attend the launch.

Coaches and parents should note that someone should be in attendance to supervise your child throughout the session and all players need to be registered in advance of taking part.

Michael Nadal, Lancashire FA Women and Girls Football Development Officer said; “The Girls United project is an exciting opportunity for Lancashire FA to support our clubs to recruit and retain the next generation of female footballers. We hope that the programme will support our existing clubs to provide an appropriate development programme for their younger players but also assist new Charter Standard clubs to engage in the girls game”

UPDATE 14/07/14
England International and Manchester City WFC player Toni Duggan will be on hand for the launch of the programme to see the next generation of young female players starting their way in the grassroots game!
