Lancashire FA Girls Player Development Centre Trials

The Player development centre (PDC) will work with the grassroots football clubs and schools in the County in order to provide a high quality training programme for talented female players linking into the FA Female player’s pathway which is detailed on the FA’s website at the following link:

This centre is an added part of the FA's talent development programme alongside FA Girls Centre of Excellences, which has seen up to 30 FA player development centres added to improve the player development pathway in England.

We will be offering young players with potential a high quality programme in line with the FA’s recommended guidelines for talented players as well as providing first-rate qualified coaching to aid their overall development in football via UEFA B and FA Level 2 Coaches.

The PDC allows every player to play for their grassroots club and receive extra coaching on Monday evenings at Lancashire FA in Leyland. The PDC will consist of a 15 week coaching programme plus 2 initial trial dates- to be extended depending on age groups) as well as around three fixtures in conjunction with other FA PDC’s in the Region.

The PDC will run coaching sessions and matches for successful players in the U11s, U13s and U15s age groups from September 2015 to April 2016

We can confirm that Lancashire FA PDC trials will take place on Monday 21st and 28th September 2015 at Lancashire FA headquarters- Registration and presentation will take place in the Sir Tom Finney Suite

Times are as followed:

Under 11’s: 5.30pm- 7pm Under 13’s: 6.30pm- 8pm Under 15’s: 7.30pm- 9pm

A presentation to players and parents will commence promptly at your age group time then players will spend an hour with the coaches on the 3G Astroturf- No studs or blade boots please.

Please note that further trial weeks will be on 5th and 12th October at the same times for players that ARE SELECTED to go forward.

Deadline for all player nominations which is a FULLY COMPLETED Player Registration and Player Medical Form is Thursday 17th September 2015. Please note that players should NOT wear previous PDC kit at trials and wear the colours of their favourite teams so that the players all feel welcome.
