Lancashire FA Make Donation To Club Affected By Arson Attack

Lancashire FA has donated £500 to Clayton Park Rangers FC after an arson attack at the club on Sunday 22nd October.

A storage shed containing training equipment built up over 13 years was set alight and completely destroyed.

The club now faces the expensive task of replacing everything which was lost, which included kit, goalposts and balls, as well as investing in a new storage shed.

Clayton Park Rangers, founded in 2004, are a grassroots club affiliated to Lancashire FA and have two adults teams and one under 13s team competing in local leagues each week.

Chief Executive Roger De Nobrega said: “When it was brought to our attention of the club’s plight we had to try to help in some way.

“We hope the donation can be used by the club to purchase new kit and equipment and ensure football can continue to be played by the large number of players and volunteers involved with Clayton Park Rangers FC.”

The club have set up a JustGiving page and have already exceeded their target of £800. Click here to donate
