Two goals from Ric Seear & a third from Tarren Moxon gave Blackhurst Budd victory over Broomheads Estate Agency and the Guide Security Sunday Trophy.

The first exchanges were even with the sides, both of the Bathroom Solutions Blackpool & Fylde Sunday Football League, having early changes.

Seear’s first came on 26 minutes, finishing a rebound from a Brett Dawson effort, before adding his second from the spot in the second half.

Moxon completed the scoring on 87 minutes with a well-taken goal.

The first real chance of the match came from a Blackhurst set piece taken by Gary Pett, but his effort went well wide.

Broomheads’ first opportunity came on 13 minutes, Dax Hoogerwerf spotting the keeper off his line before attempting an audacious chip which flew narrowly over.

Blackhurst again went close on 17 minutes, Moxon with a driving run down the right before putting the ball through the legs of the defender and cutting inside – his shot was saved by Callum Kirkland and the resultant rebound was deflected over the bar.

Down the other end, Andi Smart attempted an effort from long range on 23 minutes – it was well struck but wide of Mark Smith’s left post.

It was Blackhurst who opened the scoring on 26 minutes – Dawson outmuscled his man down the right before unleashing a powerful effort that was well saved by Kirkland.

The rebound, however, fell to Ric Seear in the box who fired home.

Broomheads responded well and had a free kick from about 30 yards which narrowly missed the boot of the attacker in the area.

SECOND HALF

Chances in the first part of the second half were few and far between, a Blackhurst effort from long range going well wide of the post probably the closest either came in the opening 15 minutes.

Broomheads had a good opportunity on 62 minutes, Dave Cram latching onto a cross field ball before unleashing an effort from a narrowing angle that was well saved by Smith.

They continued to press, Cram again driving forward but he saw his effort from 25 yards go wide of the post.

Blackhurst had an opening on 69 minutes when a Broomheads clearance hit the onrushing Marco Cobb – he was sent clean through but was pulled back for handball.

Ric Seear then had a chance inside the box minutes later but his effort was straight at ‘keeper Kirkland

Blackhurst & Seear went through again on 75 minutes, the number nine beating two men before his shot was pushed round the post by Kirkland.

Their pressure told when they were awarded a penalty on 81 minutes, Seear putting the ball past the fingertips of Kirkland into the bottom right corner.

They had time to add a third, Moxon converting past Kirkland into the bottom corner to seal the tie.
