SSE Wildcats Applications Now Open

Have Fun. Make Friends. Play Football

The FA and SSE have developed the fantastic Wildcats scheme in an effort to create a sustainable offer of football to girls aged between 5-11.

SSE Wildcats Girl's Football Clubs provide young girls with regular opportunities to play football and take part in organized sessions. The sessions are specifically designed for girls and take place in a fun and engaging environment

The sessions take place on a weekly basis and will provide a safe environment where girls with no football experience can take part and have fun whilst also learn to develop fundamental skills.

Each SSE Wildcats centre in the region will be run in conjunction with Lancashire FA and will offer the expertise of qualified coaches and local facilities to offer girls a location nearby where they can get involved.

Now moving into its second full year, SSE Wildcats has over 800 centres nationwide and has attracted over 17,000 new girls to play the game for the first time.

Lancashire FA's Women & Girls lead, Michael Nadal, said: “this is a fantastic example of what working together as leagues can achieve and is something that can only benefit all our member clubs over the next few years. It is something that was discussed at a recent get together of our member leagues to help enhance the enjoyment of our Girls playing football across Lancashire- Well done and good luck to everyone involved in this initiative”

The registration portal for new organisations to apply has now been extended until February 11th.
