Atherton Collieries Academy 1-2 Team Elite FA

2018/19 Lancashire FA U15 Boys County Youth Cup Final, sponsored by C&W Berry

Team Elite FA secured the 2018/19 Lancashire FA U15 Boys Coutny Youth Cup, with a 2-1 victory over Atherton Collieries Academy.

All three goals were remarkably scored in the opening five minutes, as Team Elite came back from a goal down, to score their two goals in just 60 seconds.

Atherton Collieries took the lead after 17 seconds. The impressive frontman, Amour Loufoua, shrugged off a couple of defenders in the penalty area to then curl a lovely effort past the goalkeeper.

This didn’t dampen Team Elite’s spirit, however, as just three minutes they turned the game on it’s head.

Ryan Lowton did well at the far post to tuck away a lovely effort before Alex Mather scored 50 seconds after the restart, creating a sense of shock and anticipation around the County Ground.

Despite some late pressure from Atherton Collieries Academy and a magnificent late save from Harry Gray, it was Team Elite who secured the title and lifted the CW Berry U15 Boys County Youth Cup.
