BAME And Female Coaching Bursary Window Now Open

The aim is to support aspiring coaches from under-represented communities in their coaching pathway

Lancashire FA is pleased to announce the launch of its coaching bursary for BAME (Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic) and Female coaches.

Lancashire FA and our IAB developed this initiative together, receiving funding support from Sport England and the FA.  The aim is to support aspiring coaches from under-represented communities to take the next steps on their coaching pathways with a financial contribution towards their FA Level 1 and 2 in Coaching Football course. If you feel this would benefit your progress we would like to hear from you.

The application process is now open.

Simon Gerrard, Lancashire FA CE said: “I’m really pleased we’re in a position to launch this funding initiative.

“It’s fantastic that we can offer this to even more under-represented, aspiring coaches within the Lancashire Community. The Lancashire FA Coaching Bursary was developed with the aim of increasing diversity among FA qualified coaches.”

Peter Mason, Lancashire FA’s Inclusion Advisory Board Chair said: “We want to support the wider community in accessing the National Game.

“If you’re a coach from an under-represented community and think the programme could benefit you, please do apply. It really can make a difference to your development as a coach.”
