A message from the Lancashire FA Lead – Andrea Gratton

For those of you who do not already know me, I have worked at Lancashire FA for 8 years and in my current role as a Football Services Officer I am responsible for overseeing the County Cups & Competitions that our stakeholders enter each season, as well as supporting the affiliation & player registration processes.

The Football Services team ensures the smooth operation of the 19 County Cup Competitions each season. These range from under 12’s through to open age competitions and our Senior Cup. All the Cup Finals are held at The County Ground, culminating in a prestigious event that celebrates the immense success of the finalists.

I am delighted to be the Executive Lead for our ‘County Cup’ Football Advisory Board, which brings together those from our footballing community who want to be directly involved with the Cup Competitions, ensuring excellence in how they are run, and looking at ways we can improve them, each year, to safeguard their future and create the best environment for them to prosper and grow.

Who we are looking for:
We are looking to recruit a committed individual with competition, tournament or esports experience across the semi-professional and grassroots game (youth, adult or pan-disability).

If you have experience of either management, chairing, organising or volunteering within a club, league or tournament structure, and have a desire to lead the team to further develop our County Cups, then we want to hear from you, and draw on your expertise and experience so that, together, we can make a sustainable difference to football in Lancashire.

You can check out the County Cups FAB Terms of Reference here and the Chair Job Description here.

Please complete the application form by Sunday 1st May 2022.

Successful applicants will be invited to attend a brief, informal interview with the Executive Lead and Head of Participation and Development during May.

Lancashire FA is committed to equal opportunities, diversity and inclusion, and welcomes applications from our under-represented communities as we are keen for our FABs to be representative of Lancashire's diverse football society. Lancashire FA is a values-led organisation, and anyone joining us must share our values of creativity, inspiring, teamwork, caring and integrity.

Best of luck with your application – we are looking forward to hearing from you!
