Through our Education programmes we will enable young volunteers to gain recognised FA qualifications which will allow them to progress their coaching qualifications further and enhance their credentials so that they may gain entry into Further Education, Higher Education or Employment.
Lancashire FA Education Programmes
A key area of work is developing and supporting young volunteers. The FA are keen to give young people the opportunity to learn about various aspects of the game and enable them to become active within the football workforce, this could be within a local Charter Standard Club, within their own school or local community. There are number of exciting opportunities for young volunteers here in Lancashire.
Junior Football Leaders Student Course (12yrs – 16yrs)
This course provides a basic introduction to leadership skills required when involved in football. The course will primarily introduce 4 areas: Assisting Football Activity Sessions, An introduction to refereeing, Helping with a Team & Different Football Events – in addition to these areas, Respect, Promoting the Game & Developing the game will be embedded during the Guided Learning Hours. The County FA will be holding courses here at the Lancashire Football Association this year, please contact the County FA to obtain further details.
County Young Volunteers Camp (14yrs – 21yrs)
The County Young Leaders Camp is run annually here at the County FA for young volunteers aged between 14 – 21 years old who are in Education and have a passion for football. The programme itself is promoted through the county Education network across Lancashire and Volunteer Coordinators within Charter Standard Clubs here in the County. Lancashire FA Football Futures – Young Volunteers Association (14yrs – 21yrs)
This programme supports young volunteers who actively give up their time within one of the below volunteering themes. The themes are summarised in the ‘FA Football Futures Programme Summary’ (available below).

- Running and Supporting Events
- Running and Developing the Game
- Promoting the game
As part of this programme the County FA will host three In-service events here at Lancashire FA over the course of the year which will include both practical and theory sessions. There is a annual subscription charge of £10, but there are several benefits for any young volunteer who enrols onto the programme and logs their hours as part of the FA Football Futures volunteering programme.

When we receive the form we will then mail you out the official sign up form detailing the programme.
