Disability Player Development Centre

Lancashire FA currently holds an FA license to deliver a Disability Player Development Centre within the County.

The Player Development Centre (PDC) will provide a high quality training programme deliver by UEFA B licence coach. Talented disabled players will be linked into The FA Disability Player’s Pathway.

This centre is an added part of The FA's re-structured talent development programme, alongside FA Impairment Centre of Excellences, which Lancashire FA hold the license to deliver the North West Regional Visual Impaired and Hearing Impaired centre.

The PDC age is under 16’s as of August 31st 2014. Disability Football is played at 4 year age bands covering 12,13,14 and 15 year olds. Player will receive extra coaching on Friday evenings at Lancashire FA headquarters, in Leyland. The PDC will consist of an 20 week coaching programme, A signer is present at all the coaching sessions.

To fall in line with the England impairment specific squads, we are looking to attract players with the following disabilities

- Amputee (Male and Female)

- Deaf / Hearing Impaired (Male and Female)

- Blind / Visually Impaired (Male and Female)

- Cerebral Palsy (Male and Female)
