The Frenkel Topping Lancashire FA Ability Counts League is an opportunity for players with a Disability/Impairments in Lancashire and the surrounding areas to become involved in football. Over the past 10 years the league has started to build a fantastic reputation for providing disability competitive 5 aside football matches on a regular basis. The league welcomes people with Disability/Impairments and ages ranging from sixteen upwards. This season has seen the introduction of a mixed under 16’s division to the league and an opportunity for adult female to play as well.
To date the league has worked approximately 40 clubs who have entered teams in every division. Some of the founder members of the league included teams like, Lammack, Pendle Forrest and Cadley.
This season 2015/16 the league has got 24 teams with 3 divisions (Premiership, Championship, and Division 1) of adult males and a youth mixed division. The league is played at PlayFootball.net Preston which is an indoor and outdoor facility.
Within the league there is an opportunity for adult males to take part in the Community Inclusion Division. This takes place on the last Thursday of the month at playfootball.net Preston. This league is in partnership with NHS Community Restart.
