Thank you for visiting the home of refereeing in Lancashire. Over the following pages you will find all the information you need to either support you begin refereeing, or help you along your existing refereeing journey.

Referee Registrations

All referees are encouraged to get registered now for the 2016 – 17 season.

By clicking into the Whole Game System – and using your FANumber and your password - you can self-register for the new season. It’s all done in a couple of minutes with only a few clicks of a mouse! The cost is still only £20. If you want the Referees’ Department to do this for you, there is an additional cost of £5. As last year any late registrations after 1st June, will also incur a late fee of £5.

Refereeing in Lancashire

Lancashire has around 2000 referees and we value and recognise the important role they play in both grassroots and professional football.  With around 2000 grassroots football matches played in Lancashire alone each weekend, we need to maintain a strong and reliable workforce of match officials.

The Referees Department here in Lancashire prides itself on its successful recruitment of match officials, leading to an increased coverage of games year on year.  Furthermore the quality of our training and development programmes not only benefits local football by increasing the standard of referees but also gives our referees the foundations to develop themselves and pursue a career in refereeing.

Our office is open Monday – Friday from 9am to 5pm so please feel free to contact us with any questions.
