AFC Fylde Academy U18 won the Under 18 Youth Cup 2-1 against Accrington Stanley Community Trust U18.

The Reds started off the strongest and found the back of the net just minutes after kick off, however AFC Fylde didn’t take long to get into the game and soon after they were on top.

While Accrington’s defence put in a strong shift in the first half, maintaining their lead while up against a dangerous Fylde side, the Coasters came out fighting in the second half.

They bagged themselves two goals in the space of two minutes, ensuring their effort was rewarded.

Despite it being a nervy final few minutes for the leaders with Accrington Stanley Community Trust trying their best for an equaliser, the scoreline read 2-1 at full time meaning AFC Fylde lifted the U18 Youth Cup trophy for the 2023/24 season.
