The Lancashire Football Show

Lancashire FA Launches First Edition of its New 'Lancashire Football Show'

We’ve launched a brand-new show on our YouTube channel, which shines a spotlight on Lancashire football.

Lancashire FA is excited to announce the launch of a brand-new show on our YouTube channel, which shines a spotlight on football across our county.

The ’Lancashire Football Show’, hosted by Jez Edwards, will cover all levels of the game locally, showcasing the dedication and achievements of everyone involved in football across Lancashire. Our aim is to celebrate and promote football at grassroots level, while highlighting the upper pyramid of the game with content from our semi-professional and professional clubs which make Lancashire a special football county.

Following a successful pilot, produced last year with the support of students from the Creative Innovation Zone at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan), we have refined the concept of the show further – and hope you enjoy the first edition.

Each edition will be a 30-minute, bi-monthly show.

In our first edition…

We visit Lostock Hall Football Club’s Deaf Football Sessions and had the chance to enjoy an insightful interview with England Deaf Women’s Team international Zara Musker, who was named Deaf Sports Personality of the Year in 2022 and has played for Accrington Stanley, Burnley, Blackburn Rovers and Everton.

Cherrybrook Football Club take on the Lancashire Crossbar Challenge.

Our club profile focuses on Clitheroe Wolves

We take a look at the brand-new pitch at Stanley Park in Blackpool, and have a chat with two Manchester City Women’s team players who hail from the local area, Bethany Strutten & Emma Sidall.

And we catch up with three coaches who have enjoyed success through our Female Coach Development Programme.
