Welcome to the County Ground – home of Lancashire Football Association

Founded in 1878, Lancashire Football Association relocated to The County Ground, Leyland in 1998 from its original Blackburn headquarters.

Here, at The County Ground, each season on our immaculate grass pitch we host over 50 matches for professional football clubs and our County Cup competition. 

For the Lancashire community we hire out our 3G pitch facilities, which range from quarter to full pitch size, and offer conference and event facilities.

3G Pitch Hire

The main 3G pitch can be hired as a full, half or quarter pitch, and we also offer our 3G small-sided pitch to the footballing community.

Both pitches are fully floodlit, with easy access from our car park, and are available for daytime and evening hire, seven days a week.

Conference and Events

Our professional facilities were fully refurbished in 2019, and we host a variety of conference and events within our function rooms.

These include corporate events for small meetings, conferences, training and education sessions, team building days and exhibitions.

In addition, we host social events including christenings, funerals, birthday parties and proms.

The County Ground

With a capacity of just over 2,300, The County Ground is utilised throughout the season for over 90 games including Blackburn Rovers FC and Burnley FC development teams, with the venue also hosting Burnley FC Women’s fixtures. In addition to this, The County Ground is the stage for the Final of 20 Lancashire FA County Cup Competitions for ages 12 and above.


Car Parking

The Association's 120-space car park operates a Pay & Display system, with contract permits also available for Monday to Friday usage. 
 
Complimentary car parking is offered to conference and events attendees.
