Lancashire FA are aware of reports of an incident where a child was injured on the field of play whilst wearing glasses.

These reports are currently being looked into and we are seeking further clarity on what took place.

As of this moment, no change in the FA's ruling of the use of eyewear on a football field has come into place. It is still at the discretion of the matchday referee if he/she is happy for the match to start or continue.

Any potential future changes in FA rulings will be communicated through official FA and Lancashire FA channels.
