Tackling Discrimination

Hate Crime Awareness Week 2019

Lancashire FA is proud to support Hate Crime Awareness Week 2019.

Last season we investigated over 60 allegations of discrimination originating from grassroots football in Lancashire. Discrimination on the grounds of ethnic origin, colour, race, nationality, religion or belief, gender, gender reassignment, sexual orientation or disability will not be tolerated and we treat all allegations of discrimination with the utmost seriousness.

The majority of these allegations resulted in charges against those involved and these are deemed aggravated breaches due to the discrimination element and if the charges are found proven it often leads to significant game suspensions , fines and the imposing of a compulsory educational input. We are committed to removing this blight from grassroots football.

Throughout the course of National Hate Crime Awareness Week 2019 (12-19 October) Lancashire FA will be showing solidarity across social media.
