Statement: Remembering Life Vice-President, Eric Alexander
Lancashire FA was saddened to learn of the death of former Life-Vice President, Eric Alexander, last week.
Eric, born in 1933, was Vice President of Lancashire Football Association from 1991-2000 and Life Vice President from 2000 until 2018.
Along with Lancashire FA, Eric also had a strong affinity to his local club Manchester City, having been Chairman and Honorary President of the Citizens until his death.
Lancashire FA CEO, Simon Gerrard, said: “Eric’s contribution to football in the north-west was extraordinary.”
“His work at both Lancashire FA and Manchester City will live long in the memory and his titles of Life Vice President here and Honorary President at Manchester City, show just how highly thought of Eric was within football across the north-west.”
“All of our thoughts are with Eric’s family and friends at this sad time.”
