A message from the Lancashire FA Lead – John Treacy

For those of you who do not already know me, I am the League Development & Football Participation Officer at Lancashire FA, having served here over the past 13 years. I have also been, for the past 30 years, an active Committee Member/Grassroots Coach with a local Club and have also chaired volunteer League Committees during this time.

I am delighted to now also be the Executive Lead for our new ‘Leagues’ Football Advisory Board. This will provide the ideal forum for Leagues to discuss the issues that matter most and enable their direct input of ideas and suggestions to directly influence decision-making at Board and Executive level at Lancashire FA. In turn this will ensure Lancashire FA is providing exactly the support Leagues need, so we can all collectively realise our ambitions around development, vision and excellence and create the ideal environments for football to prosper and grow season-on-season, year-on-year.

Who we are looking for:

We are looking to recruit committed individuals with League experience across the semi-professional and grassroots game, including Youth Football, Adult Male Semi-Professional and Grassroots Saturday Football and Adult Male Grassroots Sunday football.

If you have experience of either management, chairing or volunteering within the League structure, and have a desire to further develop the game, then we want to hear from you. By drawing on your expertise and experience, together we can make a sustainable difference to football with the development of programmes that will support Leagues across the County. Applications from those currently working, volunteering, or playing within the semi-professional or grassroots game are very welcome.

Check out the Leagues FAB Terms of Reference here.

Complete the application form by Sunday 21st November 2021.
