Following a triumphant draw against league leaders Wolves Women FC at the weekend, Burnley FC Women are back in action at Lancashire FA’s County Ground on Sunday as they take on West Bromwich Albion Women.
Admission to the game is free and the Clarets are encouraging supporters to come and support the team as they continue their league pursuit.
Burnley arrive at the game following a dramatic 2-2 draw at Wolves Women’s CKW Stadium at the weekend. The home team had to come from behind twice to salvage a point against the visitors, with birthday girl, midfielder Millie Ravening, on the scoresheet for the Clarets on the day.
West Bromwich Albion, meanwhile, will be feeling positive following a draw at league high-flyers Derby County Women, securing a point which moves them to 9th in the Northern Premier Division of the FA Women’s National League.
In addition to the fixture, Burnley FC Women are pleased to announce partner and sleeve sponsor TikTok will be in attendance on the day. The video-sharing platform, famous as a destination for content creators and footballers to play and create fun, engaging content, entered into a ground-breaking deal with the Claret women earlier in the year, with the club becoming the first UK football team to live-stream all of their home matches on TikTok.
TikTok creators will be entertaining fans on TikTok and at the ground on Sunday, as they take on the crossbar challenge at half-time, and enjoy a five-a-side game post-match, ensuring there will be lots of fun football for supporters to experience on the day.
Arthur Guisasola, Strategic Partner Lead, Sport at TikTok said: "Being able to support women's football is something we care passionately about at TikTok. We are thrilled to see our creator community getting involved with our unique partnership with Burnley FC Women, both on TikTok and at the stadium!"
The game will take place on Sunday 31st October at Lancashire FA’s County Ground, Leyland, PR25 2LF. Kick-off is 2pm and admission to the game is free.
Come and support the team!
