EQUALITY, DIVERSITY & INCLUSION FOOTBALL ADVISORY BOARD - JOIN US AND SHAPE FOOTBALL IN LANCASHIRE

Our Football Advisory Boards (FABs) are the forums for the voices of Lancashire’s footballing community, feeding opinions, ideas and footballing needs directly into the Lancashire FA Board of Directors and Executive to influence football’s focus across the County.

We are currently recruiting for additional enthusiastic and committed volunteers to join the ‘Equality, Diversity & Inclusion’ (EDI) Football Advisory Board.

A message from the EDI FAB Chair – Jenny Rigby

I am delighted to be Chair of the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Football Advisory Board at Lancashire FA. I have been involved in clubs within the County for the past 10+ years, helping to ensure that young players have an equal opportunity to develop and fully participate in the game. I have previously coached and managed junior teams and am currently enjoying the role of Club Welfare Officer, whilst also having involvement in campaigns within football to promote player care and positive mental health.

I very much enjoy combining my football experience with my career-long experience of Equality and Diversity campaigns in the public sector, challenging and tackling discrimination in all forms, creating opportunities for the football community to work together to bring Lancashire FA’s vision of ‘A Game for Everyone’ to life. I passionately believe that we can all play an important role in shaping and driving this vision.

Who We Are Looking For:

We are looking to recruit people who are happy to join in with debates and discussion, to support Lancashire FA in tackling society issues in football and are willing to be advocates for inclusion within our community.

We very much encourage applications from individuals with a keen interest, and skills, within the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion space, lived experience of the 9 protected characteristics and connections within our local diverse communities.

Complete the application form to apply by Sunday 28th August 2022.

Successful applicants will be invited to attend a brief, informal chat, via MS Teams, with the Executive Lead and FAB Chair during the week of 5th September.

Lancashire FA is committed to equal opportunities, diversity and inclusion, and welcomes applications from our under-represented communities as we are keen for our FABs to be representative of Lancashire's diverse football society. Lancashire FA is a values-led organisation, and anyone joining us must share our values of creativity, inspiring, teamwork, caring and integrity.

In addition, to help us with our efforts to understand who is applying for roles at Lancashire FA, from an equality progress perspective, we would be grateful if, when you apply, you would also complete our confidential demographic data information form. This is entirely unrelated to your main application, is anonymous and non-mandatory, and is purely used by Lancashire FA for equality monitoring purposes. We are very grateful for all responses received.

Best of luck with your application – we are looking forward to hearing from you!
