North West CFA are delighted to bring this exciting CPD Event to our female coaches across our counties. This event will be delivered by Chris Welburn, Chris is currently the Coach Development Officer specifically working around female coaches in the North West.

This event is for women and girls age 14+, who are either volunteering or coaching in Football.  The event will practically demonstrate how to coach the principles of play and will help coaches understand and apply the principles of play aligned to their context and game formats in which they work within.

The event will be hosted by FA Regional Coach Development Officer – Chris Welburn. The practical session will be with a group of grassroots players, allowing the coaches to observe the sessions being delivered by the FA Regional Coach Development Officer.

Questions this workshop will aim to answer
What are the principles of play? Principles of Play : their importance to developing individual, unit and team performance? How to apply Attacking and Defending principles of the game of football?

What can coaches expect to take away?
Practical and discussion based reflections and the opportunity to share and network with other coaches.

All of the above topics will be delivered to grassroots players, so you will be able to see the outcomes come to life realistically in situations you will find yourself.

As you can see, there is a number of things above that are going to help you develop as a coach, but more importantly help you to develop your players and keep them enjoying the game we all love.

The event is a registered FA CPD event and will provide 2 accredited hours CPD.
