As part of Lancashire Football Association’s drive and commitment to provide more club-based opportunities for disabled people to play, coach and volunteer, we are seeking two dedicated, highly motivated and inspiring Ambassadors for disability football to join the Participation & Development Team.

The primary objective of these roles will be to support 2 and 3-star England Accredited Clubs with the application of key learnings from their Disability Club Training. Our Disability Ambassadors will support clubs to design and then operationalise a ‘Disability Football Game Plan’, which will focus on providing club-based opportunities for disabled people to play, coach and volunteer in Lancashire.

The ideal candidates will be excellent communicators who are able to passionately advocate for disability football and are keen to drive sustainable change that improves disabled people’s opportunities to enjoy and engage with the game.

These roles are offered on a casual worker contract for 50 hours over the course of the remaining 2022/23 season, with potential for the roles to continue into the 2023/24 season, subject to securing additional funding. These roles are paid at an hourly rate of £25, inclusive of all travel costs. There are no fixed hours for these roles, and they will involve evening & weekend commitments. Although the role is based at Lancashire FA, the successful candidates will be visiting clubs regularly and will have a strong presence in our communities. There will also be opportunities to work remotely and flexibly. You can see the full recruitment pack, including the job description HERE.

Important:

Successful applicants for these roles will need to commit to attend initial training on Tuesday 7th March from 5.15pm at Lancashire FA. As part of this role, transportation is needed as this role requires travel within the Lancashire FA boundary.
