The FA Announces New Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Plan

Share Your Data to Shape the Future of Football in Lancashire

Help us shape the future of football across the region by sharing your Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) data.

Join us in embracing equality, diversity and inclusion – and shape the future of football with your data.

The power of football to bring people together is incredible, and can provide a platform to enable us to celebrate diversity and increase inclusivity; both on and off the pitch.

At Lancashire FA, we firmly believe that the game is for all, and we’re committed to creating an environment across the region that reflects that value. However, we need your help to make this happen.

By completing your Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) data via Whole Game System (WGS), you have the power to shape the future of football in Lancashire.

Why is Data Powerful?

Data is so much more than numbers or ticks in a box. Data is a powerful tool that can help drive change and innovation. Though coaches, players, volunteers and referees providing their EDI data, we are able to collect vital information which enables us the ability to shape the way we work, what we do within the community, and the creation of programmes that are truly representative of the region’s diverse population.

Why Does Your Data Matter?

1. Representation

By sharing EDI data, you’re contributing to ensuring that football is a game for everyone, no matter their background. The data you share will enable us to better understand the demographics of those involved in football, enabling us to tailor programmes to meet the needs of players, coaches, volunteers and referees.

2. Informed Decision Making

Data enables an insight that allows for informed decision making. With accurate EDI data, we can identify where there are gaps in representation, address potential biases, and design programmes that promote fairness and equality.

3. Creation of Inclusive Programmes
All football programmes should be inclusive and accessible to all. The data you provide assists in developing coaching sessions, training materials, and events that cater to diverse communities, making everyone feel both valued and welcome.

4. Measuring Progress
Filling in your EDI data is similar to marking the starting point of a journey. Over time, we can track progress and any improvements in diversity and inclusion efforts, celebrating achievements and identifying areas that still require work.
