Get involved in the adult female game

Adult female football in Lancashire is currently at its highest level, with over 100 female adult teams participating across the whole of the women's football pyramid.

It is played in an 11v11 format, predominantly on Sunday afternoons.
Whatever your playing level, there are plenty of clubs around the county and you're sure to find one near you.
If you are a new team you will need to start at County League level and you can do that by contacting Michael Nadal who can go through the options available to you.

Adult female football leagues in Lancashire:

In the summer of 2017, Lancashire FA ran its first ever 9v9 summer league, aiming to encourage participation and provide teams from the Lancashire FA County Women's League with an opportunity to build up fitness ahead of the season.
Despite a small number of teams, it was deemed a success by those involved, and was expanded further in 2018 with two divisions and 14 teams involved. Six of those teams have now joined the Lancashire FA Women’s County League playing 11v11 on a weekly basis.
COVID 19 has hit the programme over the past 2 years however we look to relaunch this in January 2022 and you can express your interest here.
The league provides:
• Introduction to the game- Focus on Friends, Fitness and Fun
• Start up grant for new teams
• 9v9 Format
• Flexible fixture programme
• Supportive introduction to football for beginners and returning players
