LFA CORE

For the best referees in Lancashire

Our best referees are part of the Lancashire FA Centre of Refereeing Excellence (CORE).

The aim of the Lancashire FA CORE is to assist in the development, training and coaching of referees who have the potential to progress into the National Refereeing System, obtaining Level 3 and beyond.

It is designed to deliver specific and relevant training to ambitious, dedicated, talented referees and runs in tandem with further opportunities such as The FA's National CORE Programme and further Referee Development initiatives.

Coaches and mentors work with every member of the CORE providing practical advice and tips to develop their skills as a match official both on and off the field. Practical training sessions, indoor theory workshops and general advice pre-match/post-match are just some of the methods that members of LFA CORE receive support.

Members of the CORE will be expected to attend a range of events throughout the year, which will enable them to improve not only their on-field fitness and performance, but also include specific technical sessions and key note guest speakers.
