Free Courses from the Welfare Department

The Association's Welfare Department is able to provide a range of local and convenient courses to further develop the volunteer football workforce. Please see below for details of all courses available:

ADULTS IN JUNIOR FOOTBALL

  • Challenges parents and/or coaches to look at our role in youth football
  • Looks at why children play and adults as role models
  • Examines inclusion, how children learn, and improving the match-day environment
  • FREE OF CHARGE AND DELIVERED LOCALLY AT A SUITABLE VENUE
  • Minimum twelve attendees with no upper limit
  • Duration around seventy five to ninety minutes
  • Carries two hours CPD for coaches
  • Interactive, relaxed, and humorous

SOCIAL MEDIA USAGE

  • Looks at the benefits and challenges of social media usage in football
  • Delivered to young people, parents/volunteers or both
  • Examines online behaviours, and responsible, safe usage
  • FREE OF CHARGE AND DELIVERED LOCALLY AT A SUITABLE VENUE
  • Minimum twelve attendees with no upper limit
  • Duration around seventy five minutes
  • Challenging and informative

HANDLING CONFLICT

  • Looks at areas of conflict within clubs and also on match-days
  • Aimed at coaches and managers
  • Advice on how to avoid and deal with conflict
  • FREE OF CHARGE AND DELIVERED LOCALLY AT A SUITABLE VENUE
  • Duration around seventy five minutes
  • Referee version also available
